Hyderabad: Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy passed a resolution in the Assembly on Wednesday condemning the Centre’s approach towards the State in the Union Budget 2024-25.
He said the Centre is responsible for integrated and holistic development of all the States in the country. The CM pointed out that the Centre has adopted an indifferent stance towards Telangana from the day of its formation.
“The responsibility of taking all necessary steps for the sustainable development of the two states as per the AP Reorganization Act lies on the Centre, but it has failed to fulfill its promises. This unfulfilled promise has had a negative impact on the development of the State,” the CM said.
The State Assembly adopted a resolution appealing the Centre to render justice to Telangana by amending the proposals in the ongoing Budget debate.
He further said that after coming to power in the State, he and a ministers delegation had met with the Prime Minister and Union ministers several times seeking financial assistance for various projects, and release funds as per the Act.
